What is the history of Table View?

The earliest documented European settlement in the area now known as Table View was the shelter built by the crewmen of the Nieuwe Haarlem to protect their salvaged cargo after their ship was wrecked off the nearby coast. They erected a fort and called it Fort Zandenburgh.
